Velocity Capital Partners (Pty) Ltd trading as Velocity Trading (“Velocity”) is an Australian domiciled asset management company, focused on global real estate securities.
Velocity together with its principals have a long history managing physical property and real estate securities, with Michael Berman amongst the pioneers in the real estate hedge fund industry. Having commenced his commercial real estate career in 1996, Michael initiated his real estate hedge fund track-record in April 2002 on the proprietary desk of an investment bank, and has managed a variety of proprietary and institutional accounts over more than 9 years, enjoying excellent returns.
Michael has run Velocity as an independent company for more than 7 years and been involved in consulting to large asset managers, publicly traded companies and sophisticated investors. Velocity has been involved in listing a real estate ETF and is involved in ongoing proprietary research as well as the management of its own proprietary Global Macro Long Short REIT Fund.
